These herbal medicines, often referred to as herbal formulas are the the culmination of literaly hundreds of years of Tradtional Chinese Medical research. These formulas sometimes consist of as many as 10 different types of herbs that may be ground into a fresh powder or extracted into an herbal tea. These formula's have been used to treat nearly all imaginable conditions.
For Instance:
- Did you know that the leaves and the bark from the willow tree gave rise to the synthesized extraction of aspirin? Ancient cultures used the leaves to remedy aches and fevers.
- That Licorice, and it's active compound glycyrrizic acid has been used in treating hepatitis.
- Or that Ginger can help ease nausea in patients undergoing chemotherapy
