Crock-Pot Cabbage Soup

Cabbage Soup

This is one of my all-time favorite cabbage soups. Cabbage soup has been highlighted as being one of the most effective vegetables for weight loss.  Not only that It's simple to make and taste great.
 

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups coarsley chopped cabbage
  • 1 cup cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup sliced carrots
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 2 cups hot water
  • 1 can or 2 cans 16oz navy beans, rinsed and drained.
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Optional: 2 whole cubed potatoes

Place all the ingrediants into the crock-pot and set to low for 8 hours.  Serves 8.
